Right now, CJ is seen as one among the frontrunners of the hip hop scene in New York, particularly due to his very popular hit song called “Whoopty” and the subsequent remixes. In his brand new project, he associates with legendary DJ Funkmaster Flex for the track titled “You Know,” which is produced by Sean Allen and Swanqo. It was way back in January that the song was first teased, and after that, fans got to see a trailer of sorts where the video for the track assisted by Jadakiss, called “Damn Shame,” was seen.

Similar to all his prior releases, CJ raps regarding his street background and wild lifestyle.

The video for “You Know” was shot by Juganot and aligns with the previous videos of Funk Flex, with several high-end whips somewhere in New York City. Here, audience can see red Hellcats and Ferraris align with the expensive threads of CJ

Apart from the aforementioned collaboration with Jadakiss, “You Know” comes after “Lurkin” with King Von, “Gametime” with Fivio Foreign, and “Re-Route” with Rowdy Rebel. Right now, Funk Flex is a little busy adding finishing touches to a new album, which is his first since Car Show Tour, released in 2006.

After “Whoopty,” CJ released his debut EP titled Loyalty Over Royalty back in February, featuring eight tracks and one assist from French Montana. This month, he upgraded Loyalty Over Royalty by releasing a deluxe addition, and incorporating new assists from Montana, Rebel, Anuel AA, Ozuna, and DreamDoll.
