In 2020, M Huncho accomplished a lot. First, he released his second album Huncholini the 1st in January, which featured 13 tracks and guest appearances from Headie One, Nafe Smallz, and D-Block Europe. Along with the three singles from the album, “Bando Ballads,” “Thumb,” and “Pee Pee,” all reaching the top 20 in the UK Singles Chart, the album reached #5 in the UK Albums Chart within its first week of release. Earlier this year, just before Halloween, he released his joint album DNA with Nafe Smallz, another chart-topping album that further solidified his position as one of the country’s top artists.

There have been a few loose cuts since then from the masked emcee, including “Overpriced” and “Breadwinner,” which were produced by Quincy Tellem and raised hopes that he was working on a new project. A new single from Quincy and Huncho entitled “Hiatus (Freestyle)” was released yesterday (Oct. 27), which sees the British duo sharing their story of getting the bag:

The accompanying video for “Hiatus (Freestyle)” opens with a dope shot of Paris, followed by a shot of Huncho in studio and out in the mountains with his crew. The financial situation of Huncholini seems to be in good shape, and he will surely collect more bags when he finally returns with a new portfolio of work.
