This week on a new “REVOLT Black News Weekly” installment of “Stand Up For,” we look at our culture’s health habits and what it means to be Black and vegan. Yes, hearing this definitely gets eye rolls and shocked reactions when one finds out that their Black friend or family member is about that meatless life. But, it’s actually becoming a rising trend in the Black community, which has been forced unhealthy foods and eating habits that have hurt our well-being for many years. In this segment, we will focus on one chef who is changing lives and providing alternatives in this way of life that is becoming more and more popular by the minute.
Inspired by Sean “Diddy” Combs’ successful “State Of Emergency: The State of Black America & Coronavirus” town hall, “REVOLT BLACK NEWS” is a platform that is designed to report news from the perspective of Black people for Black people.
“When I started REVOLT, I always wanted to develop a platform to report the news from our perspective, from our lens, from our people, so I decided to launch ’REVOLT BLACK NEWS.’” said Combs. “We’re here with solutions. We’ve already heard about what we can’t do, but this is what we can do.”
